Palette Poetry Nature Prize

I am pleased to share that my poem "Strange Attractor" has been selected by guest judge Kimiko Hahn as the second runner-up of the Palette Poetry 2026 Nature Poetry Prize.

You can read it here.

This piece has been long-gestating; I've been working on it on and off for many years, but its final form emerged when I realized I had to simplify the opening stanza. Many apologies to my science department friends for the line about "fudging explanations" in chemistry. Clearly, this was never my wheelhouse.

I hope you enjoy the poem and the other works appearing in Palette Poetry.
